Swale Borough Council Engineering Capabilities.

Swale Borough Council’s Engineering Team comprises two staff, covering a wide range of responsibilities and activities.

Services that the team can provide include:- 

  • Preparation of Traffic Regulation Orders 
  • Design and implementation of Residents’ Parking Schemes from consultation to installation 
  • Coastal Inspections and NFCDD data input and updates 
  • Production of AutoCAD drawings 
  • Liaison with Kent Highway Services for schemes within the highway 
  • Design, consultation and implementation of waiting restrictions 
  • Design and Construction of smaller scale improvement schemes

Examples of engineering projects undertaken by Swale Borough Council;

Queenborough Castle Mound

Value £44,000

This was a project to improve the landscape of Queenborough Castle Mound, which has been developed in partnership between Swale Borough Council and Kent County Council as part of a long term plans for the regeneration of the Queenborough and Rushenden area.

The scheme has been externally funded and the construction works to the Mound was completed in 2012.  Swale Borough Council produced the construction drawings as well as the onsite supervision during construction works.
