River Arun to Pagham

The River Arun to Pagham Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy has been produced by the Environment Agency (EA) in partnership with Arun District Council (ADC).

The purpose of the Strategy is to provide an implementation plan for flood and erosion risk management for the Strategy area, over the next 100 years.

The Strategy area covers the West Sussex coast from the western bank of the River Arun to the boundary between Pagham and Aldwick in the west and up the River Arun to the Ford railway bridge. The Strategy frontage includes sand and shingle beaches, rock and timber groynes, breakwaters, earth embankments and concrete walls.
